Inspect outside-in
Garage corners, door sweeps, utility penetrations, foundation gaps, vents and crawlspaces are common places to start looking for entry routes.
Remove food access
Store dry goods and pet food securely, clean spills and manage garbage. Rodents can persist on surprisingly small food sources.
Place traps strategically
Traps work best along travel routes and edges where signs are present. Follow the product directions and keep devices inaccessible to children and pets.
Know when bait changes the risk
Rodenticides are pesticides. Use only a Canadian-registered product exactly as labelled; professional placement may be preferable in complex, multi-unit or high-risk settings.
