A good provider should explain what pest was found and what evidence supports the identification.
Ask about the plan
Find out what is chemical and what is exclusion, sanitation, trapping or monitoring. Ask what occupants must do before and after.
Ask about credentials
Provincial licensing or certification rules vary. Verify the company and applicator where the province requires it.
Ask about follow-up
For bed bugs, cockroaches, rodents and some ant problems, monitoring and return visits can matter more than a single treatment.
Canadian rule: if a pesticide is part of the plan, use only a product registered in Canada and follow the label for the named pest and treatment location. Provincial and municipal restrictions can still apply.
